| British League - Premier
What a start to the season! I have had a buzz since the first ball was hit this season, a buzz I have not felt for a good long time. After what has been consistent dominance of British Table Tennis for over a decade a new era is well and truly underway. The Premier British league weekend was fantastic and I totally enjoyed watching and coaching our new super young team. Matt Ware was super and showed some real class, our 2 veterans, Ashley Stokes and Chris Lewis, played fantastic table tennis.
They have now got to start to develop games that will dominate opponents! Garth Kinlocke tried very hard and showed a real Progress spirit but was not on top form.
I'm looking forward to watching him in the next weekend. If I'm totally honest, we never got what we deserved points-wise, but we will come on strong, of that I'm sure.
British League - Div 1 - 5
We had teams in Horsham, Cippenham and two teams at home! Again all teams much younger than last season and have much room for improvement. We had some fine performances Koji Hirota in Div 1, Damilola Thomas, Igor Morais and William Morais all played exceptionally well with some fine individual performances.
Women's British League
Egle Adomelyte captain fantastic, led a totally new team to the Premier division! With the number two not long out of the Cadets it shows great promise.
We did not have a full squad as some players were not in the country. We will have to pull our socks up for the second weekend.
Kirsty Wilson had two fine victories and played some great table tennis.
